Search and Report
Overview
Fast, flexible search across all content in a group or project. Any new semantics or structures added to documents are immediately reflected in the search interface without any modification to the implementation.
Understanding file types means that format-specific metadata properties (Microsoft Office files, PDF, JPG and more) are automatically indexed upon upload. This helps to track versions and revisions.
Developers
Based on widely supported Apache Lucene, PageSeeder search is fast and rich. The API services provide facet support for user-defined semantics such as document, block and inline labels. The results of a search can be input into other processes such as validation or publishing task.
Analysts
A search can be created through the user interface then saved as a URL for sharing with other users or recalling later. Search results can be transformed into publications or exported as CSV format for use in Excel (for example).
Users
Displaying search results in the “Sheet” format provides an efficient way to update the content of properties or inline labels across a whole collection of documents. This is useful for improving data integrity or cleansing obsolete values.
